2011 Club Awards

The 2011 Club Awards were presented at the club's Christmas Dinner at the Stamford Hotel on Saturday 10 December.

Christmas BBQ at Casey ARC

We will be having a bbq after training at the Casey ARC on Mon 19 December. All welcome.

Training break for Christmas

The last training session for 2011 will be Wed 21 December, and the first session back at the pool will be Wed 4 Jan.

10th anniversary, 2011 Christmas Dinner & Presentation Night

We're 10 years old!!

The Casey Seals started in mid-November 2001, and our first training session was at the newly opened Casey ARC on Wednesday 21 November.

Come along and celebrate at our Christmas dinner and presentation night. It will be on Saturday 10th December at the Stamford Hotel, on the corner of Wellington Rd and Stud Rd, Rowville.

All past members are very welcome too.

New Committee

A new committee was elected at the Annual General Meeting on Monday 8 August at Casey ARC.

Mal Winder is the new President, Ebony Ebenwaldner remains Vice-President, Greg Chaplin is Secretary, and David Scott is Treasurer.

Congratulations to all the people on the committee who devote their time to running the club. Without these dedicated volunteers our club would not exist.

2011 Vic SC Champs: we nearly got 3rd

At the 2011 Victorian Short-Course Championships at MSAC on Sat 5th August, the Seals swam so well that we nearly knocked off Doncaster Dolphins for 3rd place overall.

Doncaster has been in the top 3 clubs in Victoria for many years, and to come so close to them shows that we are now a club to watch out for. In fact, we actually beat them in the individual points, but they had more relays than us.

2011-2012 Victorian Open Water Swim Calendar

The Casey Seals Open Water Swim Calendar for the 2011-2012 Victorian summer season is now available. This is the best source of information about all open water swimming events in Victoria.

Not all details are available yet, and a number of events have not yet set their dates, so the calendar will continue to be updated over the next few months.

2011 Seals Splash meet Sat 23 July

The 2011 Seals Splash meet is on Saturday night 23 July at Casey ARC, Fountain Gate.

2011 AGM

The 2011 Casey Seals AGM will be held at Casey ARC on Monday 8 August at 8:30pm (after training). All members are encouraged to come along and participate in setting the club's committee for the next year. Anyone considering having a say in running the club should speak to someone on the current committee to find out more.
