2010 Seal Splash swim meet

4 Aug 2010 - IMPORTANT NOTICE: The 2010 Seal Splash has been CANCELLED due to lack of entries.

All entries received will be refunded.

We had received only 24 entries at the cut-off date, and only a handful more to today, so unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the meet. Victorian swimmers, and especially the large clubs, must start supporting these interclub meets, otherwise they will disappear.

The 2010 Seal Splash will be run in early August this year and will return to the Monash University pool. This was caused by high pool-hire charges at our home pool, Casey ARC, where we have held the Splash for the last 2 years.

The meet has the same format as last year, and again includes 25m races which are proving very popular.

Saturday 7th August, 2010	Doug Ellis pool, Monash University
Warm up 6.00pm-6:20pm*	Wellington Rd, Clayton.
Start 6.35pm	Melways 70-G11

* Warm-up/cool-down pool is available throughout the night.

Enter from Wellington Rd, go past Robert Blackwood Hall on your left and park in the next carpark on the left. The pool is at the furthest (north) end of the building across the road.

Entry Costs

Early Bird $30.00 (incl Supper)	On the Night, before 6.15pm, $35.00 (incl Supper)
before Friday 30th July 2010	Note that no entries will be accepted after 6:15pm and that entries received after 5:45pm cannot be guaranteed.

Pool entry is free after 6:00pm, but public admission prices apply before then.

Events

You may choose upto 5 individual events:

1. 100m Choice	5. 25m Breaststroke
2. 25m Butterfly	6. 25m Freestyle
3. 25m Backstroke	7. 100m Individual Medley
4. 200m Choice

Entries are to be made on Masters Swimming Victoria pink/blue entry cards.

Guest swimmers are allowed (conditions apply).

Awards

Combined points: 1st, 2nd and 3rd age group medals.

Awards will be presented after supper and the raffle draw.
